At Protolab3D, we use the very latest in polymeric printing filaments for your project. Each situation is considered regarding its environmental exposure and its mechanical requirements and a careful material match is selected to best fulfil those parameters. If you need a prototype or low volume product printed, we want to make sure it performs at its best. Our materials selection process prior to 3D printing ensures this. We can even layer materials to ensure the very best performance.

PLA

PLA is an ideal material general use. It offers dimensional accuracy and is biodegradabe. Perfect for non load bearing  decorative items and for items that do not need to endure.

PLA-CF

PLA-CF is a carbon fiber-reinforced PLA that combines enhanced stiffness and strength with the benefits of standard PLA. It features a matte finish that minimizes layer lines, making it ideal for engineering parts or models that demand a superior appearance.

PETG-CF

PETG-CF is a composite material made of PETG and carbon fiber that provides enhanced strength while maintaining good toughness and a shiny appearance. This makes PETG-CF ideal for high-performance, impact-resistant functional parts.

ASA

ASA is an excellent protyping 3D filament. It offers improved UV, temperature, and impact resistance. Can be used outdoors and within automotive and engineering applications due to its high stability.

TPU 95A HF

TPU 95A HF is an optimized TPU filament. It offers flexibility in 3D printed objects. Similar to a hard rubber compound. It is also tough due to exceptional interlayer adhesion, impact resistance, flexibility, and resilience in cold temperatures. Ideal for parts that are required to flex or absorb vibration.

PA6-GF

PA6-GF or Nylon 6 with Glass Fiber is a leading high-performance engineering plastic. It offers outstanding strength, durability and dimensional stability. If your project requires a tough material that can withstand repeated handling, PA6-GF could be the ideal choice. 

PLA Metal

PLA Metal is a metallic textured filament designed to enhance the aesthetic of your objects. It is designed to mimic the surface texture of metal, but it does not contain actual metal fillers. PLA Metal possesses an advanced metallic shine and offers a professional and high-quality finish.

PLA Silk

PLA Silk offers a silk-like high gloss finish that adds a luxurious appearance to your objects. PLA Silk is toughened and is ideal for decorative and artistic objects or for any situation where a high shine is required to the finished components.
